Nokia Lumia 1020

41 Megapixel sounded like something that belong to a proper high-end camera but in reality this is found in a mobile phone.

Nokia just officially unveiled their Lumia 1020, their second phone to feature a camera with such monster pixel count. Basically the phone use this huge resolution and oversamples the image to a highly detailed 5MP photo. It also use the largest sensor found in a mobile phone. I hate to get technical but the geek in me just can't resist pointing out its 1/1.2" sensor is almost as large as that in a Nikon1 and larger that Canon's popular prosumer compact G15.

I know I'm gonna get this. Excited?

Without a doubt.

Halfway There and A New Beginning

After days of heavy haze, the skies finally cleared up last week. And I have never shot so many pictures of the blue sky in my life.
Speaking of my life, it is the last hour of 1/7/2013, the first day of the second half of the year. Half the year gone by and half a year until a new year begins. This morning, I was hit with the sudden realization that if I am to live to the age of 72, I'm already halfway there. So here is hoping that the days of haze is over and whatever is left of it, a cloud of rain will wash it off. Let the sun shine!
